Downloading CSV files with custom Fixation Filters

Step-by-step guide to exporting CSV files with custom fixation filters.

Fixations are clusters of gaze points where the eye pauses, and they are defined using several key parameters. By default, CSV downloads for eye-tracking data use standard Fixation Filter settings. You can adjust them by applying custom parameters to the CSV file download link:

  1. Go to your study dashboard and click "Export Data."
  2. Choose the desired CSV file, right-click it, and select "Copy link address. "

  3. Open a new browser tab and paste the link (do not open it yet).
  4. Add your custom parameters to the URL. Use ? for the first variable and & for additional variables. Available parameters:
    • noiseReductionLevel - expressed in number of frames
    • minFixationDurationMs - expressed in milliseconds
    • maxFixationDurationMs - expressed in milliseconds
    • gazeVelocityThreshold - expressed in %/s
    • maxSaccadeDurationMs - expressed in milliseconds

Example:

If you want to download AOI Overall Stats CSV file with a minimum fixation duration of 200 ms, a gaze velocity threshold of 40%/s, and a noise reduction level of 180 frames, your download link becomes:

https://app.realeye.io/dashboard/report/study-aoi-overall-stats/study_id?minFixationDurationMs=200&gazeVelocityThreshold=40&noiseReductionLevel=180

You can also apply filters directly from the Heatmap dashboard. After setting your desired filters, click "Download" from the menu above the heatmap. All CSV files downloaded this way will include the selected filters automatically:
