Using tools like Zoom while performing an eye-tracking test

Sometimes it's important to connect with your participant via tools like Zoom or Google Meet while he/she performs an eye-tracking test. Maybe you'd like to give some directions during the test (i.e., "now find something on this page" or "go to the pricing page and choose one of the options") or even make an interview at the same time, asking about additional thoughts. It might also be useful during hosted sessions.

So, is it possible to run both tools at the same time using the same webcam? Yes, but on one condition - the video conferencing tool needs to be run in a browser, not as an app (apps block camera access). It may cause a slightly worse accuracy or sampling rate, but it will work.

Check out the recommended requirements.
